McDONOUGH — Pie Five Pizza is expected to open its second metro Atlanta restaurant Jan. 22 in McDonough.

“The Atlanta area is craving artisan pizza that is baked fast but doesn’t break the bank,” said Christina Coy, vice president of marketing for Pie Five Pizza Co.

“At Pie Five we are all about the individual and the McDonough community can now choose what they want to chew with our fully customized pizzas made with house-made dough, hand-cut veggies, hand shredded cheese and all-natural sauces,” she continued.

At Pie Five, guests can choose from more than a million combinations of farm fresh ingredients, artisan sauces and handcrafted crust varieties.

The restaurant boasts its pies bake in “145 seconds” in a custom-designed, state-of-the-art oven. The entire process from ordering to the first bite takes five minutes or less, said franchise officials.

The fast casual pizza brand store opens at 1500 Ga. Highway 20 W., next to Hobby Lobby and Kohl’s in McDonough. To celebrate, Pie Five is offering $5 pizzas and a free drink to customers in McDonough with fliers on opening weekend.

Pie Five, during its grand opening ribbon cutting, plans to present a check to A Friend’s House, a McDonough-based nonprofit home for children in crisis. The presentation is set for 11 a.m. Jan. 22.

Guests can add one of Pie Five’s freshly tossed handmade salads or a decadent home-baked brownie or cookie pie to their meal.
